New Companion for Sister Avery

Written by Sister Hannah Avery, serving in the Chile Vina del Mar Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, speaking Spanish.

Hey family and friends!

Okay, I have lots to tell this week! First off, Hermana Stewart left the area and I am now with Hermana Giron! She is from Guatemala. She is 20 years old and is going home in 3 months! ahh! Crazy.... She is super sweet, and we get along great! She is new to being a leader this transfer, so I have to train her in the ways, LOL! Not sure that I am quite ready for that, but here we are.

Hermanas Avery and Giron
We had a REALLY busy week, with almost 30 lessons! We were really blessed!! We started teaching a 17 year old girl named Connie this week. She lives on the outskirts of our area, but we decided a few days ago to go up there, and we found her! She accepted a baptism date immediately, and is working towards being baptized on the 27th of May! WOOHOO! She is really prepared. I never cease to be amazed at how the Lord prepares people to be taught at this very moment! AMAZING! Wow... is the church true, or is the church true??? :) But really! We are so blessed <3

Other than that, I am just FREEZING my buns off here in Mirador... LOL! It was warm two weeks ago and then....BAMMM! Here is the cold.... and it's SUPER cold! Lots of wind from the sea, and well, I sleep with LOTS of layers and blankets and still wake up in the middle of the night from how cold it is! haha! But, we are working with it, and still seeing miracles everyday. People always ask us why we are outside all day and night in the cold teaching the gospel....well, it's because it's TRUE! haha! The Lord never sleeps, and well, His missionaries really don't either. LOL! Rain or shine, people! And we still aren't stoppin'! :)

Well guys, have a great week! I will talk to you all next week, hopefully with more great news! :) Love you!
