Wheels, iPads, Facebook and Skype!!

Written by Elder Nate Jensen, serving in the Washington D.C. South Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, speaking English.

So, I have a lot of big news. First, we got wheels!! A brand new 2014 Chevy Cruze. They come with turbo, and let's just say, it is a fun car to drive, haha! I've missed driving so much, so it has been really nice to be able to drive again. We share the car with the other Elders in our ward. I am stoked to finally be able to go to the edge of our area. This wasn't possible before since it would have been at least a two hour bike ride. I think we will find some great people to teach down there.

The second big news is that our mission gets Facebook and Skype next week! I am stoked! I can already think of three people from back home that I plan to work with. It's going to be awesome. And, from what I understand, you can sit in and be present during lessons. But I don't know the details yet. We get trained this week.

Last big news of the week...we get iPads in December! That is all we know, but it is soon. I am super stoked for that! It will be awesome!!

Anyways,  no mention of H** (name omitted for privacy). She dropped Elder Shimono and just said she wanted to stay Christian Orthodox. That's a bummer, but I guess now just isn't her time.

We have made some progress with R***. Really, what it comes down to is just waiting until his wife gets home, and then moving on from there.

J*** is doing great. We had another appointment with her yesterday, and she thought it was great. Her 12 year old brother sat in on it with us, so that was awesome. She also told us that her older brother was asking questions about the Book of Mormon,  so he is going to sit in on our next lesson. We are going to go back and teach about the Restoration to both of her brothers. It should be awesome!!

We talked to a guy for a few minutes this week who served time in prison for attempted murder, but has since graduated college and is currently talking to NFL scouts. He is way chill. He lives in Warrenton, which isn't our area, but we referred him to the missionaries there.

We also have a couple of meetings tonight. One is with this guy named D***. He is way chill, and his dad actually used to go to church. So he said he would like us to come back tonight as well. So, yah, that's about it with the work.

Halloween was pretty great! We watched some way good movies, "Cloudy, with a Chance of Meatballs," and "Monsters University." It was pretty awesome. Anyways, it was a great week! Thanks for all the support! Love you guys!
