How're ya'll doin?
I'm going to keep today's email nice and simple!
Elder Knott left to Virginia Beach on Thursday and my new companion, Elder Lovell came in! Elder Lovell is great! Super friendly and personable, and a hard working missionary. I am having fun with the change and adjusting to all the new things that come in getting a new companion with totally different personality and mannerisms! It has been nonetheless exciting and from what I've seen so far, the lessons have been good and our companionship unity is great!
On Saturday night, we met up with R** (name omitted for privacy), one of our investigators that has been going to church every week. She got a little emotional as she expressed her doubts and the troubles that she's had while investigating the church. She grew up in the Catholic church, so it's all new to her and she said she feels faithless when she reads the Book of Mormon. Her honesty with us brought up a really spiritual lesson where we were able to testify of the Book of Mormon and read with her. She was able to feel the Holy Ghost and we explained that she would be able to feel that all the time if she receives the gift of the Holy Ghost after baptism. It affirmed my testimony that the Holy Ghost has power to touch anyone, but it can only be felt in certain circumstances for those that do not have the gift of the Holy Ghost. We invited her to continue to press forward and read the Book of Mormon and pray for faith to overcome her doubts. We're also going to put a greater effort into meeting up with her more often, because it had been a good two weeks since we'd seen her and nothing goes well with the passing of time!
I love this work! It is exciting, it is tiring, it is invigorating! There is nothing else I would rather be doing right now. This is His gospel!
Tenga una buena semana (Have a good week),
