Last week (about a week after receiving his mission call to Peru), Jake received a package from the Missionary Travel Department containing a tentative itinerary for his departure to the Peru MTC, and lots of forms and instructions for obtaining a visa and Peruvian identification card (some of which are written completely in Spanish!).
After reading what he could understand and a few phone calls to the Utah Secretary of State and the Missionary Department, he has a solid list of things he needs to do this week to get his visa underway. Another important thing Jake completed this week is his letter to the First Presidency of the Church, letting them know he accepts the assignment to serve in Peru.
